Biography
Founded when she was only 3 years old Ashley Tisdale has had a long time in the spotlight, but only really got her time to shine when she landed the role as Maddie Fitzpatric on Disney Channels The Suite Life Of Zack And Cody. After starring in different commercials, and one-off appearances on TV Shows Ashley finally got a role to keep in this show.
A couple of years into the show the star auditioned for the hit Disney Movie High School Musical. When she got the role of Sharpay Evans she turned from being someone who a couple of people knew to a house hold name. With everyone accross the world knowing who she was, she finally got the chance to live out her dream.
Now with an edgy, guitar-driven pop-rock sound, Guilty Pleasure - Ashley's sophmore album - is a creative and mature leap forward for this appealing young singer and songwriter, who launched a career as a solo artist with her gold-certified Top 5 rhythmic-pop debut Headstrong in 2007. On the new album, Tisdale collaborated with a host of top top-flight producers and songwriters, such as Kara DioGuardi (Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood), Toby Gad (Beyonc�, Fergie), Billy Steinberg (Madonna), Emanuel Kiriakou (David Archuleta, Nick Lachey), and Swedish production team Twin (Headstrong singles �Not Like That� and �Be Good To Me�), and co-wrote several tracks.
The album�s first single, �It�s Alright, It�s OK� � a spunky break-up anthem about being single and in control of your life for the first time � has been put into rotation on MTV and has been featured on such hit shows as So You Think You Can Dance and The Hills. Tisdale's preformaces on Walmart Soundcheck and AOL Sessions are out now.
Already beloved for starring in the High School Musical franchise, Tisdale took home a 2009 MTV Movie Award in the �Breakthrough Performance, Female� category for her role in High School Musical 3: Senior Year, beating out Amanda Seyfried, Freida Pinto, Miley Cyrus, Vanessa Hudgens, and Kat Dennings.
Ashley's current movie 'Aliens In The Attic' opened #5 at the Box Office with its July 31st US release. Tisdale stared alongside Carter Jenkins, Austin Butler, Doris Roberts and Robert Hoffman.
Although Ashley currently does not have any more movies lined up she is looking at scripts and contemplating doing a world tour - Starting with Europe.
